Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s former claims have been put down by experts.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who revealed their 2017 engagement was scripted and rehearsed, are called out for feeding wrong information.
During her Netflix docuseries, Meghan branded the 2017 interview with the BBC an ‘orchestrated reality show’ and ‘rehearsed.’
She said: “So we did the thing out with the Press, then we went right inside, took the coat off, and did the interview, so it was all in that same moment.
“But then also like, ‘and then there’ll be a moment when they’ll ask to see the ring’. My point is we weren’t allowed to tell our story because they didn’t want…”
Harry then said: “Well, we’ve never been allowed to tell our story…That’s the consistency.”
Mishal Hussain, who conducted the 2017 interview with the couple, however added that “we know recollections may vary on this particular subject”.
Meanwhile, Lord Hall, then-director general of the BBC, says that Meghan’s accusation were ‘simply untrue.’
