Royal experts have warned that Meghan Markle’s show could end her Hollywood career.
Meghan’s upcoming Netflix show With Love, Meghan, set to debut on January 15, is facing significant criticism.
One Hollywood executive has told The New York Post that the trailer has sparked confusion in the entertainment industry, saying, “I don’t think anyone is excited by this.”
“It’s so sad because they had this huge platform. Now I can’t really see [Markle] doing much else in terms of… pushing herself into the public eye,” the executive said.
Additionally, other representatives believe that this series represents the Sussexes’ last chance to regain relevance in Hollywood, especially after the mixed reactions to their previous Netflix and Spotify projects, including Polo and Heart of Invictus.
Netlix dropped trailer for Meghan’s With Love, Meghan, just a day after her return to social media.
The Duchess of Sussex posted a trailer on her Instagram handle, alongside a sweet message from fans.
“I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team @netflix. Beyond grateful for the support – and fun! As ever, Meghan,” she wrote in the caption.
