Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes shared a key decision they made by taking their daughters into confidence before dazzling to the iHeartRadio Jingle Bell red carpet.
On their podcast, Amy & T.J., the pair discussed last week’s appearance at the star-studded night with their children.
“We had to have a discussion with our kid before we walked out on a red carpet,” the ex-GMA3 anchor said, noting that “they didn’t have to do it at all” if they didn’t want to.”
He continued, “It’s no small thing,” and said, “A discussion had to be had ahead of time.”
On the other hand, Amy shared her experience from the event, sharing that it was “the first time” they brought their daughters out on a red carpet.
“Obviously, it’s only been a year since the two of us were on the red carpet, so for us to go on the red carpet with one of our daughters — a piece altogether, the four of us standing there, that was a decision,” the mother-of-two said.
“We talked to our daughters about it, and everybody was okay with it. And so we went for it,” she doubled down on the duo’s discussion with their respective kids.
Both the ex-ABC hosts noted they were nervous about their children making their red carpet-debut.
But their daughters Sabine, whom T.J. shares with ex-wife Amy Ferson, and Annalise, whom Amy shares with ex-husband Tim McIntosh, were less tense than them.
“That wasn’t just something that we didn’t give deep thought to before we walked out on that red carpet,” the 51-year-old noted.
