Angelina Jolie makes shocking admission about her motivation having changed now.
The 49-year-old actress in an interview with Sky News talked about how she now relates to her on-screen character of opera singer Maria Callas in Maria.
The Oscar-winning star said, “I think when I was younger, I had different questions about being human and different feelings and now as I’ve gotten older, I understand some things and now I have different questions.”
Jolie went on to say, “It’s a matter of life, right?”
“And so maybe that’s interesting that this now is a character really contemplating death and really contemplating the toll of certain things in life that I, of course, couldn’t have understood in my 20s,” the ex-wife of Brad Pitt further added.
Angelina Jolie starrer film, which is currently streaming on Netflix, follows the seven days before Maria Callas’s death in 1977 Paris as she reflects on her life and career.
Maria also stars Pierfrancesco Favino, Alba Rohrwacher, Haluk Bilginer, Stephen Ashfield, Valeria Golino, and Kodi Smit-McPhee in supporting roles.
