Arnold Schwarzenegger has become the latest celebrity victim of swatting.

This year’s Thanksgiving brought an unexpected twist to the Hollywood superstar’s Los Angeles-area home as police responded to a bomb threat on Thursday, per TMZ.

Law enforcement received reports of an explosive device allegedly placed in the Terminator star’s mailbox. However, after a thorough search, no bomb was found.

Schwarzenegger, 77 — who was at the gym during the incident — was reportedly unaware of the scare until later. His security team assured authorities that such a threat was unlikely, given the property’s round-the-clock surveillance.

The outlet reported that the LAPD is treating the incident as a potential “swatting” hoax — fake emergency calls intended to provoke a law enforcement response — with no arrests reported so far.

Despite the disruption, Schwarzenegger spent the days leading up to Thanksgiving giving back to his community. On Tuesday, he joined True Lies co-star Tom Arnold at the Hollenbeck Youth Center in Los Angeles to distribute over 1,000 turkeys, tortillas, and produce to families in need.

“I had such a great time,” Schwarzenegger told Boyle Heights Beat, reflecting on his decades-long tradition of volunteering. “This season is about sharing… I love America and how it welcomed me with open arms.”

The Austria native fondly recalled his first Thanksgiving in 1968, when gym friends brought food, dishes, and even a radio to his empty apartment. “The generosity of the American people was extraordinary,” he said, emphasising the lasting impact of that kindness on his life.
