Billy Bob Thornton, American actor and filmmaker who is best known his famous roles in Fargo and Bad Santa, is right now top of the world as he’s ‘feeling great’ about his Golden Globe nomination.
The 69-year-old talented actor was considered best for his amazing performance as male actor in a television drama series Landman as Tommy Norris.
He expressed his emotions and said that he was already proud of his work on the show before receiving the nomination.
During his interview with Extra, Billy said, “I feel great about it. I’ve been pretty fortunate in the Golden Globe world. I’ve had some nominations over the years, and it’s always an honour to do some work that you’re proud of and then to get recognised for — it’s a real honour.”
The star of Bad Santa already won two Golden Globes awards during his career, one for his movie Fargo 2015 and the other one was for Goliath 2017, as he has already been nominated a few times over the past years.
The actor further claimed that it is pretty special to be part of such a respected group, but also found it ‘quite funny’ as well to be in the same category as Jake since he has known him since he was a teenager.
Billy went on saying: “To be included with that group is pretty special, and Gary Oldman’s one of my favourites and then Jake Gyllenhaal, when he was a kid, his father directed me in a movie… So, I knew Jake as this, you know, little teenager kid running around the house.”
