Ouch! A Super Bowl LIX commentator didn’t hold back when cameras panned to Taylor Swift, who was there to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
As you know, the Philadelphia Eagles crushed the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Jalen Hurts was on fire, racking up 221 passing yards, two touchdowns, and 72 rushing yards, earning him the Super Bowl MVP title. The Eagles’ defense was relentless, sacking Patrick Mahomes six times and snagging two interceptions.
But the real drama? It happened off the field.
During the game, Fox showed Taylor Swift, who was there to cheer on her beau, Travis Kelce. With the Chiefs down 17-0, one commentator said the quiet part out loud: “Well, Taylor Swift is in attendance… but she hasn’t had much to cheer about yet because Travis Kelce hasn’t caught a ball”.

The internet went wild!
- “I’m sorry but I burst out laughing when this happened,” one fan wrote.
- Another quipped: “This commentator is PETTY!!”
- Someone else added: “These announcers are so messy”.
Brutal, right? At that moment, Kelce hadn’t caught a single pass, and the Chiefs were getting destroyed.
Kelce eventually caught four passes for 39 yards. Patrick Mahomes threw for 257 yards and three touchdowns, but his two turnovers led to Eagles’ scores. The Eagles walked away with a dominant 40-22 victory, and Jalen Hurts was crowned Super Bowl MVP.
Now, everyone’s wondering what’s next for Kelce, especially with those retirement rumors floating around. Mahomes thinks Kelce’s got more football left in him.
“He’s given so much to this team and to the NFL and been such a joy, not only for me to work with but for people to watch. He knows he still has a lot of football left in him. You can see it. He always makes plays in the biggest moments,” Mahomes said.
Mahomes added, “But it’s if he wants to put in that grind, to go out there and play 20 games to get to the Super Bowl. He’s done enough to be a gold jacket guy and a first-ballot Hall of Famer. I know he still has a love for the game. He’ll get to spend some time with his family and make that decision on his own”.
