Dennis Quaid, an American actor, is being supported by his fans over an incident that took place with a reporter.
Robert Kovacik, a reporter from NBC Los Angeles, has been getting criticized for attempting to interview Quaid as he was in the process of evacuating his home in Brentwood, California.
Over 100, 000 civilians have had to evacuate their homes due to the destructive wildfires in L.A., including several celebrities, like Quaid. While he was carrying his things to his car, he was accosted by Kovacik.
One user took to the social platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to state, “Not them interviewing Dennis Quaid while he frantically tries to pack his belongings to evacuate.”
Another added, “Truly one of the worst parasitic paparazzi s–t I’ve ever seen. It went on for like 20 minutes, this dude harassing Dennis Quaid and being ridiculously inappropriate crossing boundaries and invading privacy while he’s trying to evacuate.”
Slamming the reporter for halting the actor’s progress, one user wrote, “It’s like dude, he does not have time to talk. Every second you waste is something he can’t take with him.”
Quaid took a polite tone with Kovacik, even going on to suggest that people make sure to turn their gas off before evacuating their houses.
“Our experience of reality can change in a moment,” he added.
Despite the awkward timing of the interview, fans were touched by Dennis Quaid taking the time to give advice to the people struggling with the wildfires.
