Donna Kelce, the mother of NFL player Travis Kelce, has shared new insights into her journey as an actress.
On Friday, November 29, People magazine spoke with Donna at Arrowhead Stadium, where she watched her son Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs play against the Las Vegas Raiders.
When asked about her acting debut in the Hallmark Channel movies Christmas on Call and Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, Donna expressed her feelings by calling the experience “so awesome.”
She said, “There was so many fantastic veterans of Hallmark movies and I just had a blast learning from all of them.” (sic)
“It’s so much fun for them to be doing the movie in Kansas City for the first time and being in the stadium that I’ve been here for the past 11 years. So it was just really fun,” Donna added.
Moving forward, Kelce’s 72-year-old mom also shared that her grandchildren loved seeing her in Christmas on Call, saying, “[They] kept saying, ‘Play it back, play it back! We want to see DeeDee!’ So that was kind of fun.”
For the unversed, Donna and her ex-husband Ed have three grandchildren—Jason and his wife Kylie McDevitt Kelce’s three daughters, namely Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett.
In Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story follows a romance between the Chiefs’ director of fan engagement (Tyler Hynes) and a superfan (Hunter King).
Donna plays the manager of a barbecue restaurant and is shown giving advice in the movie’s trailer.
It is pertinent to mention that Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story comes out on November 30 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Channel.
