Gypsy Rose Blanchard gears to release ‘nerve-wracking’ memoir

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard just detailed the famed murder she committed.

Renowned for a crime that captivated the entirety of America for almost a decade, she has now detailed the incident through her own words.

The media personality, convicted for second degree murder after brutally killing her mother DeeDee, is set to reveal to the world her side of the rather terrifying story in her upcoming memoir, My Time To Stand.

In an excerpt shared by PEOPLE magazine exclusively, Blanchard, alongside co-authors, Melissa Moore and Michele Matrisciani, wrote:

“When Dee Dee Blanchard was 24 years old, she gave life to me. When I was nearly 24 years old, I took life from her. I firmly believed that by doing so, I was saving the life she had guarded with all her might: mine.”

Ahead of the book’s release on December 10, in a conversation with the outlet, Blanchard mentioned, “It brings me a lot of pride and joy to have this exciting moment.”

As she launches the book that details her already publicized experiences from her point of view, she deemed the moment as “nerve-wracking, it’s stressful.”

“You want to do your story [justice], you want to tell it with as much honesty and vulnerability as possible. So it was quite a rollercoaster ride,” Gypsy-Rose Blanchard admitted.
