The holiday celebrations of Jesse Tyler Ferguson took an unexpected turn.

The Modern Family star, who played the role of Mitchell in the sitcom, revealed that he rushed one of his sons to the hospital on Thanksgiving.

The 49-year-old actor took to his official Instagram on Thursday and posted a photo of himself in hospital with his son resting on his chest.

The father-son duo can be seen sitting on a hospital bed with medical in the surroundings and covered in a blanket.

“I have received a lot of parenting wisdom from @itsjuliebowen so seeing I wasn’t the only one with a kid in the ER on Thanksgiving was comforting. (He’s also fine.),” he said referring to his Modern Family costar Julie Bowen’s recent visit to the hospital for her own son who needed emergency medical attention.

“Thank you to the kind folks at Lennox Health. NYC really DOES have the best healthcare,” he added.

It is pertinent to mention that Ferguson, who is the father of sons Beckett Mercer, 4, and Sullivan ‘Sully’ Louis, 2, did not share which of his was sick

Fans rushed to the comments section showing love and support to the father of two.

“It’s not a holiday without a trip to the ER. (He’s fine, btw) HAPPY THANKSGIVING,” one wrote.

Another commented, “Sending love this difficult week. Hope your son has a speedy recovery.”
