Justin Baldoni, who starred and directed It Ends With US featuring Blake Lively, has given an insight into the potential sequel of the film.
While exclusively talking to E! News, the 40-year-old actor, who played Lively’s love interest Ryle in romantic drama, revealed where he really stands on a sequel.
“We are just trying to be in the moment, said the Jane the Virgin alum said, adding, “And I am just overwhelmed with gratitude for the lives that this has impacted.”
“So were not even like thinking about the sequel right now,” Baldoni added.
In another interview on How to Fail podcast with host Elizabeth Day, the actor opened up about experiencing a near breakdown on the sets of the film, released this year in August.
“Directing is a very lonely job, I’ll just be very candid,” Baldoni said as he answered how he decompressed from playing his character which was of an abusive partner in the film.
The actor further explained, “Because you are kind of at the top of this totem pole. In your moments of quiet, everybody has a thousand questions for you and also nobody wants to disturb you and you don’t really have many people to talk to and you can’t necessarily share your anxiety or your nervousness about something because you’re also the leader.”
Before concluding, Baldoni shared that he turned to “a lot of somatic therapy” at times when he was “actually just shaking” during It Ends with Us’ production.
