Katie Holmes has rubbished rumours about daughter Suri Cruise’s finances.
Holmes, 45, took to Instagram on Sunday to call out a publication over claims that her 18-year-old daughter Suri has gained access to her dad Tom Cruise’s trust fund—earning her a millionaire title.
The outlet also cited its source claiming the high school graduate has an additional trust fund from her mother.
“Completely false,” Holmes wrote over a screenshot of the article. “Daily Mail you can stop making stuff up.”
“Enough,” she added in the caption.
Holmes has previously spoken about her attempts to protect her daughter from negative media coverage.
“What has been really important for me with my daughter, because she was so visible at a young age, is I really like to protect her,” Holmes told Glamour in an April 2023 interview.
In June this year, Suri and her mom were photographed celebrating the teenager’s graduation from her New York City high school. In her school’s graduation ceremony program, the teen went by the name “Suri Noelle” instead of “Suri Cruise.”
Holmes and Cruise, 62, split in 2012 after nearly six years of marriage, during which they also welcomed Suri in 2006.
Per reports, Holmes parted over his deep involvement in the Church of Scientology and thus to protect their daughter.
Cruise also shares adopted children with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, who split from the Dawson’s Creek alum over similar reasons.
