Kelly Clarkson welcomes her kids to talk show amid son’s viral performance

Kelly Clarkson featured her children, 10-year-old River and 8-year-old Remington, on Wednesday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.

The heartwarming segment saw the siblings join their mom on the couch, following the buzz around Remington’s viral performance from a previous episode.

The 42-year-old singer and talk show host surprised viewers on November 27 when Remington performed a “Kellyoke” rendition of Frank Sinatra’s 1969 hit My Way.

The clip of the third grader’s confident performance quickly garnered over 1.5 million views on the show’s YouTube channel.

During the latest episode, Clarkson asked her son how he felt about his newfound fame. Proudly, Remington replied, “Yeah, how much views did I get again?”

According to Daily Mail, the playful exchange continued with Kelly recounting her reaction, “I said, ‘Man, buddy, you’ve got like over a million views!’ And he goes, ‘Do you get that many views?’” Clarkson laughed, while adding, “I was like, ‘Calm down. And not often.’”

Moreover, the episode showcased Kelly’s approach to her children’s engagement with social media.

Additionally, this came after her earlier stance against letting them have Instagram accounts before they turn 18.

As per the publication, Clarkson, who shares River and Remington with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, has primary custody of her children.

Meanwhile, her ongoing focus on family life and her career recently earned her a renewal for The Kelly Clarkson Show, which will return for its seventh season.
