King Charles is said to be considering to make a historic announcement about his abdication and Prince William and Kate Middleton will be the king and queen much sooner than anyone imagined.
This has been claimed by royal insiders, according to the OK! Magazine.
Speaking to the In Touch Weekly, per OK!, the royal sources claimed, “The whispers that Charles is planning to step down are growing louder,” and the past few months have been “particularly rough.”
The insiders claimed, “Charles waited so long to become king, but at this point, no one could blame him for giving up the throne so he can live the last months of his life in peace.”
“Insiders expect a historic announcement to be made around Christmastime. So William and Kate will be king and queen much sooner than anyone imagined”, the report also claimed.
Kate Middleton and Prince William will travel to Sandringham for winter break after the Christmas carol service of the Princess of Wales and “the holidays would be a good time to begin the transition to William’s reign,” the sources added.
The insider said, “But it will also give everyone time for private family moments and reflection.”
