King Charles tries to ‘carry on’ amid Queen Camilla illness

King Charles III had a telling body language as he attended a recent event without Queen Camilla.

His Majesty, who made a solo appearance after his wife pulled out of the Royal Variety Performance on Friday, showed signs of tension as she met public.

Speaking about his body language, expert Emily Ferguson says: “He chatted enthusiastically with guests before the show, and attempted to put two youngsters, who were clearly nervous about meeting the King, at ease.”

“The monarch took the time to speak with Louie, 10, and Iris, eight, cracking jokes and displaying very warm body language,” she notes.

“It was clear that he was happy to be there and was intent on carrying on as normal, even though his wife was unwell at home,” adds Emily.
