Pete Davidson gave a reality check about his first pay on Saturday Night Live.
In a recent video shared by New York Magazine on December 4, the 31-year-old comedian candidly shared his first earning on the iconic sketch show with his fellow alums.
Davidson was inquired in the video about his “biggest indulgence” after getting paid with his first compensation.
He responded cheekily, “Do you guys know what they pay us? It’s like three grand an episode, so I think I got dinner!”
Other SNL alum Jason Sudeikis, who worked as a cast member for nine years and served as a writer for two years said, “I mean you don’t really make enough money to make big purchases.”
“So, I think New York rent was probably the biggest purchase I made after writing on SNL the first year,” he added.
Elsewhere in the clip, SNL cast member Cheri Oteri, noted that she bought “a couch” with her first paycheck
“I have gotten it reupholstered three or four times. I remember a designer coming over in tears and he goes, ‘Oh, those arms are too high. We’re going to get rid of that couch.’ I said, ‘Oh no. No, you’re not. Not today, Satan!'” Oteri recalled.
