Rumours have been swirling that Prince Andrew is considering to follow Harry’s controversial path as King Charles continues to pressurize him.
Duke of York, who signed a 75-year lease for the property in 2003, has been reluctant to leave the mansion.
His elder brother Charles has been pushing him to move into Frogmore Cottage, a smaller home previously occupied by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to MailOnline.
Amid the rift between brothers, insiders have expressed fear that Andrew may take desperate measures for the cash. With speculations suggesting that Andrew might write a memoir detailing royal secrets, just like Prince Harry’s Spare, which earned millions.
However, a royal expert has recently addressed the rumours, claiming that the chances of him writing a book are “very unlikely.
Andrew Lownie told the outlet, “There have long been rumours that Andrew might write a book, and various collaborators have been suggested, but I think it is very unlikely.”
“Andrew is loyal to the institution and knows it would impact his daughters and their position within the Royal Family. He also has no wish to be in the limelight,” Lownie stated, adding, “That is not to say that a broader book on the Royal Family ‘supportive’ of Andrew might not appear in the next few months.”
“Yes he knows a lot but I doubt he would ever talk. He’s told them all to Fergie and she’s the real threat which is why the family are keen to keep her on side,” Lownie added further.
