Prince Harry has finally shed some light into his motivations for suing News Group Newspapers.
The conversation happened at the New York Times DealBook Conference in New York, and saw the Duke get rather candid.
He explained the magnitude of the case by touching on what a settlement instead might have been like.
According to the Prince, it would have been very lucrative and “a hundred times over”.
However, he did not go into too much detail as the case is still ongoing.
Still though he made it clear why he chose now to go after the group and admitted, “The hacking [claim] is almost 15 years old, the cover-up of the hacking … is relatively new, and I think that will be the piece that really shocks the world … The goal is accountability. That means that, unfortunately, the scale of the cover-up is so large that people need to see it for themselves.”
This same chat also saw the royal getting candid about his plans for Prince Archie, Princess Lilibet and Meghan Markle in the US and cleared the air on not only conversations about him leaving but also about his marriage and where that stands.
