Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who have seemingly softened their tones against the royal family, have received bad news from the UK amid Prince William’s much-talked solo journey to South Africa.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will reportedly not get a family invite this year, according to a new report.
It comes amid speculations about Harry’s reconciliation with the royal family as the California-based couple have changed their strategy to focus on their new projects after moving on from the royal drama.
Meanwhile, some fans are still wondering they will get an invite to spend Christmas with the royals or if they’ll spend the day with another family in the U.K.
On the other hand, Prince William is celebrating his delightful moments in South Africa without his steadfast wife Princess Kate, who’s staying at home to focus her health to get ready for the Christmas.
Harry and Meghan, who stepped down from their royal roles in 2020 and moved to the US, make headlines about whether they’ll get an invite to the royal family’s Christmas get-together. This year it’s almost certain they won’t get an invitation to the royals’ celebration.
However, they may travel to England to spend the day with another family, not the Windsors. Princess Kate’s family will be in attendance but it’s not yet known if any of the royals will be as the king is still undergoing treatment and may opt for a quieter holiday.
“It will be a quieter Christmas than last year, but the question is, how quiet? Usually everyone would know what bits they are invited to by now. This year, it’s just wait and see,” a source close to Prince Andrew told the Daily Beast.
