Prince William released a video statement after his wife Kate Middleton shared a heartfelt letter ahead of her Christmas Carol Service next week.
Kate Middleton’s letter reads, “Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year. It is a time for celebration and joy, but it also gives us the opportunity to slow down and reflect on the deeper things that connect us all.”
Later, the future king took to social media and released a video message to wish rugby league legend Kevin Sinfield “the very best of luck” before he embarks on his latest endurance fitness challenge to raise money for motor neurone disease.
Kevin started his fundraising efforts in 2020 in support of his best friend and former Rhinos teammate Rub Burrow – who died from MND in June – and has vowed to keep going in memory of his friend.
Prince William had presented them both with their CBEs in January for their fundraising for motor neurone disease, a disease which killed Rob in June.
William released the video statement with caption, “Another remarkable feat for a remarkable human being. Wishing Kevin Sinfield the best of luck with his latest #7in7 challenge for @mndassoc, we know you’ll do Rob’s memory proud.”
In the video, Prince William says “Kevin – Catherine and I just wanted to wish you the very best of luck for what’s going to be a very gruelling week, raising money and awareness around MND.”
