Prince William held a crucial meeting at Kensington Palace as his wife Princess of Wales Kate Middleton missed a major event at Buckingham Palace.

Kate Middleton, who recently completed her chemotherapy treatment, missed a State Banquet for the Emir and Sheikha Jawaher of the State of Qatar, hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Approximately 150 guests attended the State Banquet in the Ballroom at Buckingham Palace.

Guests are usually invited based on their cultural, diplomatic or economic links to the country being hosted.

Later, Kensington Palace, the office of the Prince and Princess of Wales, shared photos of Prince William with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Instagram and revealed about the key meeting.

Sharing the photos, Prince William said, “Great to speak with the Emir of Qatar at Kensington Palace this evening.”

Meanwhile, Qatar´s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani was treated to a royal carriage procession and a lavish state banquet on the first day of his state visit to Britain Tuesday.

King Charles is hosting the emir and his consort, Sheikha Jawaher on the two-day trip.
