Prince William, Kate Middleton left ‘upset’ after ’emotionally charged’ visit

Prince William and Kate Middleton appeared troubled and deeply upset after they paid a visit to the families of Southport attack, which left three kids dead.

Last month, the Prince and Princess of Wales met with the victims of the stabbing horror. Kate has since invited the child survivors to her Christmas carol concert.

The appearance marked Princess of Wales’ first public appearance since announcing the completion of her preventative chemotherapy.

Speaking on their appearance, a royal expert claimed that William and Kate were “personally upset” meeting the victims as they are also parents of similarly aged children.

In a chat on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills said while recalling the emotional visit, “It was made very clear to me that they felt very personally upset by what had happened.”

“Their children are a very similar age to those poor little girls who lost their lives,” she added. “Parents up and down the country would have been affected by what had happened.”

She continued: “But what we saw William and Kate do is bring attention back to a community that may have felt forgotten. There is still a community struggling to come to terms with what happened on that day.

“I was there in the back garden watching the prince and princess chatting to emergency service personnel. We know that Prince William feels an affinity because of his air ambulance work.

“You could see etched on their faces the kind of strain. That visit was very emotionally charged.”
