Sabrina Carpenter just got candid about her love for The Beatles.

The iconic band’s guitarist, Paul McCartney who has been married since 2011, was once eye by the Espresso hitmaker, in a rather innocent way though.

In her latest appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Carpenter discussed how there was a particular song by The Beatles that made her fall “in love” with McCartney as a child.

“When I was very, very young, my dad played me Rocky Raccoon for the first time and I was so mesmerized by that song and the songwriting of it all that I fell in love with Paul McCartney,” the 25-year-old Please Please Please singer said of the 82-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member.

Carpenter continued, “I was convinced that was my husband, my future husband.”

“But he was quite old, and I was so young. I didn’t understand that he was much older than me because I was looking at all these photos,” she added.

Recalling how she saw Paul McCartney as “young” thinking he was “only like 10 years older than me,” Sabrina Carpenter quipped, “I didn’t understand math,” adding, “I was a child.”
