Sarah Ferguson paid a heartfelt tribute to a loyal member of her staff, Liz, who passed away from cancer last year.
The Duchess of York shared a statement from her charity, Sarah’s Trust, in which she described Liz as a “beautiful woman, inside and out” who is “sorely missed” by all who knew her.
Prince Andrew’s ex wife also reposted the statement on her Instagram story and added a caption, “Liz was a truly amazing woman and will be sorely missed by us all.”
“May she rest in peace,” she added.
Her statement read, “We would like to dedicate this post to Liz. Liz was a loyal member of The Duchess of York’s household, and she sadly died of cancer late last year. Liz was a beautiful woman, inside and out, and is sorely missed by all of us who had the good fortune of sharing our lives with her.”
It added, “In memory of Liz, we have made a donation to St Vincent’s Curran Foundation who are carrying out world-class research and providing innovative cancer treatment and care.”
“Thank you Liz for bringing us so much joy. May you rest in peace.”
In the comments section, social media users also joined in to mourn the loss of Liz, with one writing, “Liz was such a lovely person.
“Very down to earth and funny. So very sad,” one wrote, while another penned, “My Condolences to her family & friends – will be fondly remembered by those who knew her.”
