Sir Elton John has promised new music to his fans despite losing his eyesight recently.
During his appearance on Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Elton opened about his life in music, recalling busy early years where he toured and made music and appeared for interviews.
The Rocket Man hitmaker also teased new music, saying, “You will be getting some more (music).”
“The [creative] juices have never dried up, they never want to dry up, because I always want to create things,” the EGOT winner shared.
“It’s having the space to do it in my own time, and of course there will be new Elton John music,” he confirmed.
Regarding tours, the Cold Heart singer said: “I love the world tours. I’ve done 55 years of touring. I ended on a high. My voice was great. The piano playing was great. The band was great.”
“There are other things I want to do with my life that are more important than touring. I’m still going to make records. I’m still going to have a musical future. But I want to be with my boys, and I want to be with David, because I love them more than I love touring,” he said, referring to husband David Furnish and their sons Zachary, 13, and Elijah, 11.
Elton John’s last world tour, titled the Farewell Yellow Brick Road, spanned from 2018 to 2023.
