The Holiday star Kate Winslet has addressed rumors of a sequel of the beloved film.
Winslet is currently promoting her new film Lee and was asked about a sequel of The Holiday.
“Honestly, it’s never come up,” she told Deadline. “I promise you.”
The Oscar-winning actress is, however, up for making a sequel of the movie.
“Actually, I suppose, I’ve been quite surprised that it never came up,” she said, “because it’s the kind of film that probably would lend itself quite well to a sequel, but it has honestly never come up.”
The movie starred Winslet opposite Jack Black and Cameron Diaz opposite Jude Law.
Law has also shared eagerness to reprise his role for a sequel.
“That all lands in Nancy Meyers’ lap,” he told ComicBook.com. “So she would only do it if it was a really robust idea and then it would be whether the four of us would come back. I would be curious to see what they’re all doing.”
When The Order star met Meyers after he received his Hollywood Star of Fame recently. Meyers shared a video of their meeting, where she asked the star about the sequel. Jude Law responded by doing the Mr. Napkin Head bit from the movie, complete with a napkin and glasses.
